Who we are
Established in 2009, The Lemon Press is the University of York’s satire magazine. Our main focus is humour, and we achieve this through a combination of off-beat reporting, creative writing and miscellaneous insight. The magazine is written by and for students. In its first year, it was printed once a term, generating three issues for the year. However, the magazine is already set to expand dramatically with plans for five issues in the coming year. As a measure of its ambition, quality and wide-appeal, The Lemon Press won a national award in its first year of existence – ‘Best Student Media’ at the NUS Awards 2010.
The Lemon Press is a high quality magazine, valuing presentation and aesthetics. It is distributed throughout campus, with a potential readership of 12,000. We print adverts both in both full colour and black & white, in a number of different sizes, and have very reasonable prices.
The online version of the magazine – thelemonpress.co.uk – experiences 3,000 hits per week, with increased daily averages of over 3,500 during the week the print edition is released. We do banner ads, text ads, images, sponsorship deals etc.
Advertising with us is a brilliant way for companies, both local and national, to reach the students of York. The Lemon Press combines innovation, entertainment and originality in a way that no other publication has yet managed. The Lemon Press welcomes any enquiries regarding advertising. If you would like to place an advert with our magazine or website, or have any enquiries, please feel free to email our head office at email@example.com
